Interactive Persepolis is an interactive tourism information system (TIS) for the Persepolis cultural historical tourism site, based on a “location-aware system”. Here you can see two approaches which is one of them is done by myself as a B.A. thesis project and another one is a redesigned version with a focus on social interaction. The second one was a group project with "Ali Dehghanpour" & "Mahsa Ranjbarian". This project is presented at 5th Student Interaction Design & Research conference, SIDeR 09, Eindhoven, the Netherlands in April 2009.

Interactive Persepolis I | B.A Thesis project | Feb - May 08

This approach to TIS is in basis of age and desire of visitors who want to visit Persepolis. Currently information system of Persepolis is so weak. During this project, I found a framework for my approach, and then made a storyboard for studying the problems. My idea is based on an e-ticket, which could play role as a controller of information stands. Everybody can deliver his/her ticket when he/she leaves Persepolis and receives half of paid money for ticket. With this they will be encouraged to care about tickets, and site administration does not need to produce more tickets all the time.

Interactive Persepolis II | 3 weeks group project | Oct. 08

A new version of the former idea, Interactive Persepolis with more focus on UX and social interaction. Interactive Persepolis interprets information through involving tourist experiences. According to many definitions of “interpretation”, the most important thing to cultural heritage tourists is “experience,” and interaction design is the most suitable solution for designing experiences for cultural heritage tourists. In this project, we tried to depict one of solution for making better experiences during a visit for the most important tourism attractions in Iran.
